Is there a universal list of communities?
Right now I'm checking instances one by one to find some interesting communities. A list of it would be cool. Even something like community rank in all instances. IDK.

I think you need to graph-traverse the "Instances" link at the bottom of the page for all communities to map it all. I'm actually working on this as we speak.
