I really should give this series another shot sometime. I dropped it almost immediately before, but everybody that has kept reading it says it is great. One of these days...
It's a bit of a tough read in the beginning as Ichikawa is extremely edgy and chuuni. But, he mellows out pretty quickly and has great character growth through the series. I really recommend reading it if you're into school romcoms, it's pretty light on the drama. The chapters are short, but packed with a lot of easily overlooked small details.

Same here - I read the first few chapters and just couldn't get into it.
It's not just that the MC is too creepy for me to tolerate - he's so over-the-top creepy that he breaks my suspension of disbelief.
