All the cats we've had have had proper old English names. It's the dogs we give goofy names to. They're usually named after vacuum cleaners because of how well they clean up after the kids at the table :)
Hoover and Kirby were both great dogs.

Cats can sleep any where any way. To bad us humans can't sleep like that.
Maybe he did stumble home from the bar each night you found him like that. How's his water consumption?
He doesn't seem overly saturated, which I believe is typical for a cat.
