stuck my nose briefly into work email to delete all the automated system alerts 'cos unless they're alerting on Monday it's not my fucking problem and a slew of emails in there of boss throwing client shit to me despite knowing I'm on holiday, complete with ranting customers about lack of response. This was also after he txtd me about a client site while not only on holiday, but literally on the way to a funeral.
Boss is in for a nasty shock when I straight up tell clients "yeah he shouldn't have thrown that to me, I was on leave and he already has access to that information so I don't know what the fuck he was thinking". He's in for an even nastier one when I charge him for that text I sent back telling him to fuck off at overtime rates, minimum one hour.
Indian food is on its way, cat is fed and brushed, my latest song is loaded in the studio ready for new parts and video game is picked out for later tonight.
Day 9 of my exercises completed. I actually did them this morning but haven't had a chance to post about it until now. Normally I'd drop the kids off at school and write it on the bus on the way to work, but this morning I had the music bug and just wanted to flood my brain with loud hard rock music before I got there.
Still not drinking. I'm enjoying being a boring old fart and coming home after listening to heavy metal on the bus and having a cup of tea. However, today's a special day.. it's "Fat Arse Friday" in my house, a recent tradition where we get door dash and eat brownies and ice-cream and naughty stuff on Friday when I come home. It's our cheat/treat day and we look forward to it! So I'm off to have some Streets Blue Ribbon Vanilla icecream with salted chocolate caramel brownie, probably followed at some point by 🍔 & 🍟. Happy Friday evening everyone!
I've been there. I feel your pain. Especially when the people in question don't hesitate to speak bluntly/inappropriately.. gotta be the adult and not just tell them how it is.
You've shown positive improvement in a few areas but are still below the expected overall level. We will continue to monitor your performance and provide feedback over the next while. We do encourage you sign up for training sessions and courses that can improve your skills.
My version would have been 'Shape up or fuck off' but that's acceptable apparently.
I used to have a problem with substances. But if I get to the stage where I can't look after myself, give me a bottle of morphine and some good headphones to go out with.
I was sitting on the first one for an hour or more because my kid was droning on about school and vce and Atar scores and university and subjects. The perfect time to drink really but instead I was politely nodding at all right moments.
How goods a random panic attack outta nowhere?! Had a relatively good day I thought, but all of a sudden I’m struggling to breath and my heart feels like it’s skipping beats. Bit of slow breathing and I’m good again, but like, wtf brain!? We’re good. There’s no threats here. Chill out.
Ugh, you poor bugger. I can relate as I had that happen to me for a number of years. The ones I hated most were the ones I got during the night. I'd go to bed: fine. Go to sleep: fine. Wake up at 1:30 or 2ish in the morning having a full blown panic attack as I awoke. 0/10 recommend.
Oh no! That sounds horrific! I’ve never woken up to one thankfully. But when I was in my late teens/early 20s I’d sometimes wake up with amnesia. Not know who I was or where I was for a good 5 minutes and that was scary enough.
Dear whom it may concern. I'm having trouble with seeing replies. You see when it reaches 300 comments (which I make several on a Friday night 🤷♀️) replies collapse and when I click on the arrow the spinny thing spins its heart out but nothing happens. I am told it's a server problem on your end. I have the latest Chrome so I know it's not me. Please fix it.
Yesterday I posted my spag 'n' ease dinner so thought I'd share this story wif yous. Spaghetti bolognese is my husband's favourite of all time. If I swap the spaghetti for another pasta, there's disappointment.
So one day I made the bolognese and I burnt the fucker. I was so angry with myself. Told him that I was sorry and promised him I'd make another one the next day. He's like "nah I'll still eat it". I explained that it's horrible, unedible, burnt throughout. I left it on the stove to deal with it in the morning.
I woke up and looked in the pot and it's gone. Like all gone. So I questioned him when he got home. He told me that he had taken it, added a shitload of chilli paste to it and that it was delicious. It had sat overnight and he ate it cold. I had no words.
I am so bloody glad it's Friday. These past few weeks at work have had me run off my feet, it feels like I'm doing the job of 3 or 4 people.
So happy we have literally nothing planned for the weekend. Just need to run a few quick errands tomorrow morning, but that's it. I'm going full gremlin mode.
Mrs B was a bit disappointed her slow cooked lamb wasn't ready in the recipe's time line. We had to have a frozen meal and leave the lamb overnight. Turns out we used a 2.8kg cut instead of the recommended 1.5kg. Oops.
Had the rare second coffee today, in the afternoon. I rebelled and took a break to speak to Industry Person earlier which should've recharged and boosted me but at this point it's even harder to go back to what I've been doing. Want. Out.
Breathe in, breathe out, bundle it up
Hold it for one moment,
Then let it all out
Take a second or a minute, take a whole day
Breathe it in, breathe it out, send it away
The Age newspaper comes with the Good Food supplement on a Tuesday. This week they had an article on different types of yoghurt and Mrs_Owl was horrified to learn that all this time (for years) she thought she'd been buying Greek yoghurt, but instead it's Greek-style which is much more heavily processed and padded out with thickeners and gums.
My brain is slowly turning to mush through listening to too much hold music.
Edit: Actually, my brain may have started as mush. I have spent hours today trying to sort out a problem, and just worked out it's my own mistake and it was all a complete waste of time.
Time to brave the wind and walk Mr Woof. I just need to figure out what to wear for 16 degrees but feels like 12. Maybe a light jumper.
Edit: Made it back home without blowing away. The light jumper was a pretty good choice, a touch too warm when out of the wind, but that didn't happen much. We also got a bonus chat with a neighbour reminising about all the changes in the neighbourhood.
The wind was enough that the cat, when offered supervised outdoor time on four separate occasions (as cats often require), came right back in each time within 30 seconds.
Haha. How else can people become amateur plumbers/electricians/dIYers/doctors/experts without it? Why read a book when someone can demonstrate it for you.
I kind of had part 1 of my weekend yesterday and this morning. Now that I've mostly recharged and got a second wind of energy I'll be working late into the night at my own pace. I can see and think clearly now that I know I won't get any more emails until Monday...
Gonna make a simple pasta with onion, garlic, Sirena tuna and broccoli and chuck in some chipotle in adobo sauce for something out of left field. Then on to the next stage of compiling all this stuff together.
::: spoiler e: dinner - I forget how spicy these chipotles are 🥵

In the book about Africa I'm reading Schweitzer describes how crops can't be planted there as the too warm seasons make the plants grow so fast the wheat seeds don't fatten and potatoes don't grow tubers. They need time to develop. Will that happen here?
I took the seasons for granted. I think everyone did. 😔
A lot of things collapse when the weather changes. Things like apples need a period of cold weather over winter. Often multiple things are synchronised, like the flowering and growth of particular plants and insects and animals that are part of cycle of polination, or predators that eat pests etc. Even very small changes in climate can have major effects on the way everything works together.
A lot of plants literally require a cold period to fruit (berries, etc). Constantly warm weather makes a lot of plants lose their shit, it's like foregoing sleep. You think you're good at first, then the wheels come off.
Work finished, beer opened, tunes going, got a second wave of energy going. Won't last long though, plan for tonight is crashing on the couch with some trash TV.
Yay weekend! Guitar, video games and cat snuggles for the evening. Then out to a bar crawl tomorrow night! I'm too old for a bar crawl but fuck it why not?
Thank god it’s the weekend, it was a long day at work, particularly since it was supposed to be my day off. I hope we at least see a little sunshine ☀️ sometime during the weekend.
Gah. When I went outside to close the gates just now the wind had blown over the bin and the bag of rubbish, and in the dim light it looked like someone had collapsed on the path.
Gave me a moment, I can tell you.
I desperately need to lose weight and get into healthier habits. Being overweight is really bad for my sciatica and in 10 years I'll start to get old. I can't imagine what sciatica would be like then, it would not be good. 😭
That's very wise of you. I shall cease the butter comments and will cheer you on instead. Please take my sincere apologies. I will strive to do butter I mean better in the future :)
Sky sort of pretty, but I don't like the forecast. Laundry might have to be Sunday unless I run out of socks.
In other news, I have been informed that my bike is now ready to pick up from bicycle hospital. It sprang a leak in the back wheel on Wednesday which has now been fixed. For the princely sum of $40 or thereabouts. Love livin' in the inner north.
If you had $5000 to spend on yourself what would you spend it on? Not including bills nor can you give it away. Totally self indulgent. I'd go straight to the book shop, then the pub and then uber home with my books.
Years ago I did a huge trip from Melbourne to the tip top of Cape York, I'd add the 5k to my savings and do the whole trip over again. This time I'd stay longer in Cooktown, a town which I fell in love with on my trip.
I would get someone in to do housework for 3 days a week for 4 weeks. Then with the rest of the money pay for 2x driving lessons and some tafe courses. Will study and read on the 3 days off . The house will be pretty clean and tidy for months so work will be reduced and I'll be worry free . Can read and study .
It's a tough call. We need a new fridge; the one I've got now is the same fridge we had before the kids came along (12 years ago!) and it's a good size for 2 people only. A blender would be nice instead of using the Nutribullet for everything. Also a proper mixer/beater. I'm long overdue for some new saucepans. I actually really need new couches for the lounge room as the old ones are so tatty looking and worn out, they're a disgrace 😔
Little bit at a time mate. I still have my second hand table that I've had for 25 years. My couches are 18 years old. Due for new ones too. I don't know what else to say other than I hope things get better for you.
Yeah I got a bit excited for a minute there! Just about all of my furniture is second hand or found on hard rubbish and spruced up a bit, and tbh I don't mind it too much. There's a very particular satisfaction to be had from furnishing your abode for bugger all money. New couches would be great for a change, but one advantage is not going mental at the kids for spilling something because the furniture is worn to start with. I can think about it more when they get older. May we both one day have new couches! Raises glass gesture
It sounds good in theory, but it's not even real money and I'm paralysed with indecision about how to spend it I've already had second, third, and fourth thoughts 🤣
Sauron would've seen them coming and his wraiths + his army would've messed those eagles up. They only flew there after those were all taken care of. They needed to be sneaky burglers.
I enjoyed reading it and the silmarillion, the movies were good too but I agree with others. There's holes in the story and the two towers is kinda boring.
Housemate is home late so I said I'd do kitty medicine. Bad idea that was, the little bugger screamed like a banshee before bitting my thumb, and for all that we only managed one pill.
Check with vet just in case, but you can totally soak thyroid meds and antibiotics in a little sour cream or churo or dine paste and the cat will maul you for the spoon.
I haven't gotten uber eats at work, but considering the shit I'm dealing with for this stolen package I just... I need a burrito.
Seriously, Casetify customer service sucks. They're like "you need to contact the courier service to get confirmation it was lost" and it's like "I know it was stolen because the package ISN'T THERE!" Like I'm going in circles and I know the courier is gonna say "we delivered it so...".
My case/screen protector cost not even $10 and I had to sign for it but my $70 phone case doesn't need to be signed for. Ugh.
Now that no one is home most days, I'm just gonna have to get packages delivered at work.
Ugh, that sucks. We've had a few things stolen before (leaving something out the front of a large apartment, within a few meters of the footpath on a busy highway, is not a safe place) so I always get packages delivered to work now. When I get packages here it's like a little present to get me through the work day!
Haha love it. Yeah our little area isn't busy and I have this giant pillar but things are still noticeable there. I really want one of those mailboxes that you can put packages in. It'd be so cool.
Heading to the office today as a favour for a colleague who needs me to do some testing. Saves him coming in from way out wherever he lives and I'm just a tram ride up Collins St from work. I think this might be the first Friday I've been in the office since March 2020...
::: spoiler Meanwhile.. my calendar for the day (image):
:::
Plans for dashing out early for a grocery run have been derailed by notification that pakidge is arriving today and I have to sign for it.
If I'm careful I can make the milk and mineral water last until tomorrow. 🤞
Eagerly waiting for it to tick past noon so I can have lunch. Slightly rough morning where my laptop shat itself 5 mins into a one on one meet and greet and now asked to be postponed. Need a bit of comfort.
Sky nasty, but according to windy.com it looks like Melbourne will miss the worst of the rain. The Mornington Peninsula is copping it though. And the central highlands.
Checking my transactions and the highlight is a $6.10 coffee with a 6 cent surcharge that was not announced or written anywhere at the register. Well that is above my coffee cost tolerance threshold to start with and the unannounced surcharge tipped me over the edge so they will not be seeing me again.
There is an impossible amount of new TV shows out at the moment. Strange new worlds, heartstopper, Futurama, Witcher, secret invasion, twisted metal and Ahsoka plus only murders in the building dropping soon. Mental. Currently stuck hate watching Witcher and secret invasion just to get them out of the way. Lower decks must be soon too right?
Nearly finished the work for the day, just have a few dishes to put away and might tidy and dust a bookshelf, then everything on my list and more is done
Then it's do some reading, watch some old movies, do some emails. 😊
Any suggestions on where to get Korean Fish Cakes for Tteokbokki?
Really keen to try it, but because of dietary things Im gonna have to make it myself.
"Then---yes, there can be no mistake about it!---from the branch of a palm there hang and swing---two monkey tails!! Now the owners of the tails are visible. We are really in Africa! "
This is a wonderful book so far. 😊 ( edge of the primeval forest)

Just had to give some 'constructive feedback' to a team member about their recent performance and what they need to do to improve.
It had to be formal and diplomatic, not exactly my favourite approach but so be it.
Our internal policy is very much tailored in a way as to never come off negative and always show support.
It's very difficult when dealing with an absolute moron.
I've been there. I feel your pain. Especially when the people in question don't hesitate to speak bluntly/inappropriately.. gotta be the adult and not just tell them how it is.
This person is not blunt, just useless....so maybe like a blunt sword.
I'm secretly drinking a beer out of a mug right now to deal with the rest of the day.
So how did you phrase it?
You've shown positive improvement in a few areas but are still below the expected overall level. We will continue to monitor your performance and provide feedback over the next while. We do encourage you sign up for training sessions and courses that can improve your skills.
My version would have been 'Shape up or fuck off' but that's acceptable apparently.
Aren't you government? I thought it'd take actually murdering someone in the building to get fired.
Accepting bribes is a good way to get fired too. Sadly, this person is too dumb to do any of that, so we're stuck with them.
I'm considering a polite bullying strategy that makes them miserable so they leave, but don't have the heart to do that.
I don't know what's going to happen to the world or me when I get older, but I'm going to do as many drugs as I can on my way out ✌️🤘
I used to have a problem with substances. But if I get to the stage where I can't look after myself, give me a bottle of morphine and some good headphones to go out with.
I hope I have sufficient enough health to die one day, too.
Well I’ve had just a bad start to the weekend start to the weekend.
My hot water system has now has a massive leak and I was forced to turn it off so as of now I have no hot water or access to it.
What a disaster :(

MissGod and I were just playing guess the movie by listening to soundtracks.
Ooo. Quizes. We play that but with tv shows.
Ooh that’s a good idea as well.
There's heaps on YouTube. They give you about 30 seconds to answer each one.
I think we done all those (the movie ones at least). Honestly, I would be lost on the tv show quizzes. I do not watch many shows.
this sounds like a fun game 😀
It’s really fun! I stumped her on Lynch’s Lost Highway
dammit, that would get me too 😂
I wanna magically appear at Melb Zoo now. With my kiddo. Love the zoo.
But I have Auskick tonight instead. Meh...
Kids love it when we watch them play sport. Besides auskick is like going to the zoo anyway.

Definitely Kingston. (The OH said to say ‘milk arrowroot’, but he’s just being provocative)

Funny how a little bit of warmer weather can just make moments feel... peaceful.
Right?! Its a totally different Vibe out there!
I think this was what @bottomracer was talking about yesterday. Winter in South America

Yay weekend! Guitar, video games and cat snuggles for the evening. Then out to a bar crawl tomorrow night! I'm too old for a bar crawl but fuck it why not?
I have the door open to let in the mild fresh air and hear the birdies sing 🎶🦜
The mild fresh air is travelling very fast out there. Fresh air might be nice, but I think the turbulance is a bit much to keep the door open.
Time to close the door, the traffic has arrived.
I'm definitely not feeling as cold, actually pretty warm to be honest.
Please let the rain stay away today, at least till the afternoon.
Whoo! Home time! Today's comment is brought to you by Ubering in a Tesla. And by home I mean going to my partners place 😊😊😊

Gah. When I went outside to close the gates just now the wind had blown over the bin and the bag of rubbish, and in the dim light it looked like someone had collapsed on the path.
Gave me a moment, I can tell you.
I just remembered I dropped a piece of chicken last night while I was cooking. Today it is no where to be seen. 😲
I suspect Bill cat
I do too.
I took it.
🤨
Here's a little psychedelic tune for you younguns dropping acid, smokin' a toke, vaping or what ever you do. Peace Frog
We've all heard this song
We Didn't Start The Fire - Billy Joel
But have you heard the follow up
We Didn't Start The Fire - Fall Out Boy
are you into the Dead? eleven https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_WpX9s2_rQ
I've just queued it.
Morning everyone
👋🏼
Morning mum, hope you have a great day 😊
Acquired maccha bikkies. All downhill from here..
Woah ... Matcha Oreos 🤯
I have designs on filling the position of Biscuit Overlord. It’s a grueling campaign, but ultimately it’s about the journey isn’t it?
You are hired!
after lunch i will take a nap, as the weather demands
I will be lazy at work, and drink wine after, as the weather demands
I shall put the beer in the fridge for Ron as the weather demands.
I shall take refuge in a bar after work, as the weather demands.
I might fire up tonight as the Devil on my shoulder demands
Lunch has been achieved. Just the usual pb on toast ( sans buerre ) . ( still hungry 🥺 )
Butter would've filled you up 🤷♀️
I desperately need to lose weight and get into healthier habits.
🤨🤭
condensed milk would've worked better
Sky sort of pretty, but I don't like the forecast. Laundry might have to be Sunday unless I run out of socks.
In other news, I have been informed that my bike is now ready to pick up from bicycle hospital. It sprang a leak in the back wheel on Wednesday which has now been fixed. For the princely sum of $40 or thereabouts. Love livin' in the inner north.
Local F&C's new double potato cake concept borger:
One of those 'seemed like a good idea at the time' things..
$13 bucks is pushing it though.
Is there cheese involved?
There is cheese.
The place also doesn't charge for sauces which is a nice touch.
Hmm this gives me ideas. Might try and make ones of these myself next week and see how it goes.
This reminds me of a bread sandwich. Next up is lard on bread.
Hells yeah. Gimme two! ✌️
My brain cannot word today. I sat through meetings wording like a toddler.
Watching Queen of the Damned. haha I forgot Dennis Denuto was in this. F4!
That's pretty cool.
Easily best month of my life! I've done a few remote trips but the top of Cape York was easily my favourite.
A friend of mine now manages the Cooktown Botanic Gardens. Best decision he's ever made.
Camera. Probably a Sony A7.
Books definitely. Then a new guitar and toys for my spoiled cat.
Lots of catnip.
That's a really good idea. So I'm guessing you've got your learner's permit?
Hear hear to new couches some day 🍺
It'll pay for a good percentage of the veneers I wanna treat myself to :)
$5000 would buy a lot of books.
Yes. How good would that be to be able to buy what you want without a second thought?
It sounds good in theory, but it's not even real money and I'm paralysed with indecision about how to spend it I've already had second, third, and fourth thoughts 🤣
Stuff? Where would I even put stuff. And I have so many books I haven't started it would just stress me to get more.
New clothes. Fancy tinned fish. Fancy alcohol. Bunch of nice steaks. New phone. New laptop.
Fancy tinned fish 😂 like this canned fish
Like this https://www.amazon.com/Ortiz-Ventresca-White-Belly-110-Grams/dp/B004OHGOY6 🤤
Noice. I think I want to try it too.
Have people used new names on here? I do recognise a lot of usernames but some people feel familiar without quite being able to place you
I reckon I fall asleep within 30 seconds of putting a lotr movie on . 🧝🏻♂️🧙🏻♂️🦅🐉🐎
I'd probably do the same thing. Watch the downvoting now.
ffs, the ring is so weak that just putting it in a paper envelope protects Gandalf from it's evil effects.
why didn't he just wrap it up real good and take it to mt doom himself?
the story is so full of holes
(except for the 2 Hobbits and 1 ex-Hobbit who do)
He should have put it in his prison purse instead.
but then how would he have thrown it into the fire?
He would have been too weak, he would have said, "No"
I think to retrieve a lost item from the prison purse you need to squat and fart it out. Can't say from experience.
it's about the quest. why didn't they just get the eagles to fly them there?
Sauron would've seen them coming and his wraiths + his army would've messed those eagles up. They only flew there after those were all taken care of. They needed to be sneaky burglers.
I enjoyed reading it and the silmarillion, the movies were good too but I agree with others. There's holes in the story and the two towers is kinda boring.
coulda cut 15 minutes off the battle scenes
I feel asleep in the battle of minas tirith at the movies.
Why didn't the dwarves just take the eagles to Mt Erebor, eh.
Stopping at the supermarche on the way home from work. Any suggestions for dinner?
Bacon and eggs on toast w/ chicken salad on the side and some apple juice.
Devour cheesy tuna melt. Available from Coles, Woolworths and IGA.
🥔+🐟
I too want to protest the spinny thang.
okay, all the tasks on my to do list are done. 😊 I don't care how long it takes or when I finish, as long as I am done by midnight.
Home sweet home. My greenery and I will be very happy
So what's for dinner?
Gonna make a shitload of bao buns, bring your own filling.
A snack jar has been installed at work. This was a mistake, as I am now several Sherbies deep
Refill it with popcorn? Once it's empty of course.
🛌
Not one single drop of rain here near the CBD. I even had to water some outdoor pot plants.
None here in the SE but my aunt in Rezza said she'd had the odd sprinkle.
Hmm I'm suddenly getting a craving for chicken nuggets, wonder if I should pop by the Aldi to grab some on the way home today.
Do it do it do it
I'll probably go after work though it can get a bit hairy with agro drivers around that Aldi I' found one time when I left early.
Ok. We need to start a partition. I'm not good at this shit. I delegate. That's what I'm good at.
Look into getting a Parcel Locker at your local AusPost, if that's an option, rather than having it delivered to a work address :)
I do have a parcel locker but I couldn't say to send it there.
Heading to the office today as a favour for a colleague who needs me to do some testing. Saves him coming in from way out wherever he lives and I'm just a tram ride up Collins St from work. I think this might be the first Friday I've been in the office since March 2020...
::: spoiler Meanwhile.. my calendar for the day (image): :::
I prefer going in on Fridays, the commute is faster and I often have something on after work thats closer to the office than my home.
There’s a r/Place style shenanigan to join called canvas. Check this instance front page to join. I’ve placed two pixels and I’m puffed🫠
It won't log me in....😕
Yeah I struggled for a bit as well lol. Janky as fuck.
Link please.

good luck
Yeah I had a look but I have to sign in so I might leave it until tomorrow. I don't want to accidentally sign away one of my organs.
some gentle Low Roar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNv91s6zPT0
Just found out the show I'm going to tonight is going to be filmed! W00t!
What’s the name of the third party Reddit client that was taken down but recently relaunched itself again but as the third party app for Lemmy?
Sync?
Yes this is the one, thank you!
CEO, I am having the same problem with seeing replies
The honey mustard dressing on my salad pairs really nicely with my nuggets
Mmm nuggets!
Pakidge arrived - postie literally knocked on the screen door, dropped it and ran. Ah well.
Now off to brave Aldi.

Can I also have some crumpets and honey , and some tea, no milk, no sugar. Please.

Thank you.
Hmm what to what.
I know, Hash brown sandwich with herring!
Please good sir.
🥔🐟🥪🥔
Impeccable service as always good sir.
🍖🎍🫓
Oooh, going to be windy today.
Apparently yes. Asparagus can trigger flatulence as well as stinky pee.
I get the stinky pee but not the flatulence
Morning chef ☺️ how you going?
i am hiding from somebody’s farts
Smart. While you're in hiding, could I please get a pot of pork beans and cabbage, with eggs?
Would you like some onions with that?
Yes actually, and lots of garlic. Splendid idea
Some over yeasted not quite fully baked bread?
Don't be ridiculous seagoon
🍞
🧅🧄
🍖🫘🥬🍳🍳
Your own?
There's been another update on the tote sale. It looks like things are progressing nicely, but not much can be talked about yet.
Everytime my air purifier goes off, I'm convinced that a ghost walked by.
You fail in the KPI Lemmy :(
Sky nasty, but according to windy.com it looks like Melbourne will miss the worst of the rain. The Mornington Peninsula is copping it though. And the central highlands.
I don't know about rain, but out east it's alarmingly windy. Hiding inside is definitely on the cards for the rest of the day.
74km/h gusts out my way near Macedon ranges.
Are we cool with calling it "the penintch"? Thoughts?
One of my favourite Talking Heads songs
Road To Nowhere
Checking my transactions and the highlight is a $6.10 coffee with a 6 cent surcharge that was not announced or written anywhere at the register. Well that is above my coffee cost tolerance threshold to start with and the unannounced surcharge tipped me over the edge so they will not be seeing me again.
I wonder when we'll find out of Australia will be competing in Eurovision 2024. 🤔
Road to Nowhere is a great track. have you seen the movie True Stories, it's a movie by Talking Heads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIKydAIzsmo
I just finished watching Deadloch. What an interesting story. The colourful language was most enjoyable.
Most Korean grocers will stock this. It’s usually in the frozen section. If you’re in the CBD or close to Carlton, I’d recommend checking out KT Mart.

"Then---yes, there can be no mistake about it!---from the branch of a palm there hang and swing---two monkey tails!! Now the owners of the tails are visible. We are really in Africa! "
This is a wonderful book so far. 😊 ( edge of the primeval forest)
