Just days after the U.S. was shown to have lower reading and math scores. This is very convenient if you don't want the populace to realize they're less educated compared to most other countries.

This has been true for years, in fact since the 80’s we’ve been seeing a downward trend on standardized test scores vs. Asian countries(Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan), it’s not a new thing. But! I bet if you ask about school ratings most parents haven’t got a clue how deficient some of our public schools are. Even the ones in good looking neighborhoods (and fancy buildings) are not doing well.
