Oh no, they invited China in, you see. Because they were being oppressed and they totally aren't now. Totally.
They would definitely gladly be wilfully ignorant to the time Communist China sent in 80,000 troops to Vietnam around 1978 to teach Vietnam a lesson, apparently saying that they'd take Hanoi in a week. Those troops failed considering Hanoi is still here. Of course both sides are quiet on this, but I still find it ironic in a way.
