The FGC's overwhelming use of Twitter, Reddit, and Discord sucks and I hate it.
Just venting, but if you want to avoid Twitter it means missing out on easily 90% of FGC activity, and the remaining 10% is almost all Discord and Reddit.

Discord is the only one I still use, but at the same time it's easily the worst since nothing is indexed by search engines. I wish we could all collectively ditch it in favor of something else, anything else.
I feel that. I'm not on Twitter, so I get my fgc news from youtube videos. Those creators are often referencing tweets.
It'd be nice if some of the big names in the scene started moving to the fediverse.
Sooo many videos from on my discord servers are from Twitter. I don't mind Discord at all, it's an alright option if you're careful about following links and mostly sticking to smaller communities.
Twitter is a shitshow though and I am so very tired of seeing links to it.
Discord is okay if you're on discord, though its search is kind of garbage.
If you're not on discord though then it's a content black hole that sequesters information away from the internet at large.
