Rick Carlisle: "I think Luka's going to be the MVP this year"
"I think Luka's going to be the MVP this year," Carlisle told us, adding "I think he and Kyrie (Irving) are going to play great."
"I'm sure he's doing all the right things for him," Carlisle said of Doncic. "He's been on the cusp of being the best player in the world. He's right there, and I think he's going to be the MVP this year."

He's got all the skills in his bag, but will he show the leadership that's needed? Will the Mavs win enough to have people buzzing about them keeping them in the national conversation? Will he stay in shape/have enough help to not be burned out by March?
I remember when he played for Slovenia in 2022, he looked to be in awful shape despite constant social media posts of him working out.
This year, he looks more leaner judging from the Greece game the other day. So that's something positive.
Dude he looks MUCH leaner. I'm excited to see what he can pull off and if he has the drive to stick with conditioning. Ive made bets on him as MVP since his 2nd year in the league and I dont plan on stopping. This offseason as really gotten my hopes up for the upcoming season.
