I'm still hoping for a Spanish instance to appear. It's usually better to have dedicated communities like CasualConversation, news, culture, etc.

https://lemmy.cat/ and https://lemmy.eus/ exist, but well, as you can guess they're Catalan and Basque focused 😄

We also have https://foros.fediverso.gal/, in Gallego obviously and not very active in addition. If I had knowledge and the media set up an instance myself, but I have neither one nor the other, I can give support in moderation and some small occasional donation but it would really be great to have a dedicated instance

Do you mean the majority of the population? Yes, traditional television and traditional social networks shit. I also believe that here has much more success and use WhatsApp compared to other countries
