I’m somewhat surprised by this. I would have thought due to the possibility of jiu jitsu and wrestling outcomes, not purely striking, the percentage would be lower. Could this have something to do with reporting in boxing/bare knuckle?

Most bjj/wrestling in mma is normally accompanied by blows to the head. Bjj is a threat but most guys use ground and pound to get to a submission or visa versa. It's a violent sport, no doubt about it

Well there goes the myth that it's the decreased number of blows over a shorter amount of time that prevents MMA fighters from receiving concussions.

You reached the end

MMA has a 14.7% concussion rate, which is higher than both boxing and bare knuckle fighting, per presentation at the Association of Boxing Commission’s Annual Conference | Spyke
