Why are some comments not displayed?

I often find threads where Thunder says there are several comments but when I open that thread there are only a few or none. Why is that?

Might be an instance thing. The comments may be from accounts you've blocked. Maybe the comments haven't federated properly. Could be a bunch of different things.
Looks fine here, might be instance related?
I saw this post yesterday in Thunder on Android and I saw all the comments.
Maybe you hide comments based on the language? Settings, Account, Discussion language
