Do not try and bend the spoon, thatโs impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truthโฆ there is no spoon. Then youโll see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.
Sorry if it wasn't clear enough, I mean being able to load low resolution images on the feed (similar to how videos and gifs had SD and optional HD resolution on reddit's version), not disabling images entirely.
I see the option to purchase Sync Ultra already, so folk who are looking to get rid of ads asap can just subscribe.
I definitely understand why a "pro" version would be ideal for a lot of people, but I've been using Sync for so long I think I'll go the subscription route this time to support the ongoing development!
Yup, feels much better giving small devs monthly income vs some filthy corporation that forked their content from another platform to ask for more money.

Testing your own custom app in your own sublemmy and having people comment on your test is so heartwarming as a dev :F
Test
Edit
Boo
Terrifying
cute
Yep it works.
So if this is supposed to be an animation it's not working on sync, but I see the image fine.
You are supposed to click on the image. Then it would open until a new tab in sync showing the gif.
Why isn't this openable as images instead of custom tabs
isn't the app still in beta? Maybe lj didnt implemnt a way to open up webp links in the app or something yet.
Ah, different file type is a good explanation
me when sync is released
Good choice of image. So damn cute.
a very pleasing test image
Can't wait for Sync to be available. Loved using it for reddit.
PUMP IT INTO MY VEINS!!!
Used to work before I purchased it ...
tap the post, then it loads
It happens for me too, even though I haven't purchased it yet. I think not rendering the post in the list is a bug.
Same here. Doesn't load, haven't purchased it yet
I get the same thing. I can see images for other posts, but this one just shows the link until I click to open the post
Device information
The image in the spoon looks distorted. I've never seen a cat with an enormous nose.

I'd say this is an excellent use of work time.
Thanks for making the best damn comment I've seen around here
That's some next level shenanigans, is this blender?
Thanks. I was only joking. ๐
It's beautiful
Hey, I'm not sure if there's other places to verify this, but, will the app allow you to limit and/or compress large image posts?
I've been using Lemmy on limited data recently and sometimes it just eats it all.
What do you mean? You can disable images
Sorry if it wasn't clear enough, I mean being able to load low resolution images on the feed (similar to how videos and gifs had SD and optional HD resolution on reddit's version), not disabling images entirely.
Sync already attempts to load previews that are smaller resolution ๐
That's fantastic! Thank you again!
Tell us the secret, oh great master!
Works / viewable just fine on old.lemmy.world
Cat.
I love that image
Takes me God dame Money ๐คช
When?
Can't wait for Sync for Lem! I appreciate you for all of your effort!
No need to wait any longer!
Test?
Good cat
WTF! I just installed it and saw a "sponsored content" with nothing in it. Did you guys use to see ads in the sync app when using reddit ?
Yeah, there were ads in the free version. Hope to see a pro version of this one soon.
I see the option to purchase Sync Ultra already, so folk who are looking to get rid of ads asap can just subscribe.

Yup, feels much better giving small devs monthly income vs some filthy corporation that forked their content from another platform to ask for more money.
Also, you can remove ads for a one-time $20 fee.
I'm so happy you're here! Keep up the good work!!
