Decent people don't do Roman salutes at a national event. So yes, I agree.
It may have been a Roman salute up to about 1933. From then on it's been the Nazi Salute. Like everything else about the Holocaust it was stolen and ruined forever. Elon grew up with diamonds on the soles of his shoes and knows EXACTLY what it means.
It was likely never done by Romans. It was created in artwork pieces in the 1700s and then gradually adopted by nationalists and then fascists from the late 1800s to the Nazi era.
