Full text of US executive order on sex and gender

Since the only vague summaries are being widely reported and the details are going to matter to many people here, this is where the full text of yesterday's executive order redefining gender and sex may be found.

Warning: It is worded to be cruel and dehumanizing. If you feel you need to read it, have loved ones and self care prepared to support you.

2 days in and I'm ready to move out of my house since I live with my MAGA mother-in-law, she defends shit like this while my daughter and another of her grandkids are transitioning, I'm through.

Just remind her, according to Trump, we're all NB now...since none of us could make either large or small reproductive cells at conception.

It's a bullshit reason. A rapist isn't going to say, "Welp, I'm not legally allowed in there, so no rape for me today."

Ah dang, public bathrooms are the #1 choice for that! It's the bad hygiene and high risk of getting caught of course

it makes clear the distinction between sex and gender, and wants official operations, including assignments of “intimate” spaces to be based on sex, not gender.

That's not mild. That's going to kill people

I suppose I could've said that better. I expected a lot worse, it's milder than I expected

It gags me that they pretend to justify this as "defense of women" when we all know how little they care about the lives and safety of women. Also I guess now transmen will be expected to use the Ladies Room, I'm sure the pearl-clutchers will be delighted with that. And the transwomen should feel incredibly safe using the Men's Room.

It also implies that if a cis woman attacked a cis woman they wouldn't be able to do anything about it

No it does not, it doesn't even go into that issue. Assault will still be assault and the law should be enforced as such.

If they believe that, why do they bother with the bathroom segregation? Why not just treat all cases of assault the same and ignore the segregation? (I would like this)

1

The bathroom segregation here is go prevent endangering women. But he does not mention how to handle assault in these places or whether that should be different for each gender.

You reached the end
