I don't like silvery barbs. It's a lazy spell that's purely messing with the game mechanics.
I loved it as a protection spell. A distraction to help an ally in a key moment. I can totally see how it could be banned at certain tables.
Biggest bar: Eldritch Blast
I love the idea of eldritch blast so much. Obviously it's strong, but just shooting beams all over the place sounds so fun.
I only started DnD a few weeks ago and our entire group was shocked when we learned that shit is a spammable cantrip
It makes a sorta-caster able to pretend to be an archer, more or less. It's great, but it's no more horrifying than a fighter with a bow of some kind.
don't forget agonizing blast and repelling blast!
