Tiny bit clickbaity. Xbox App on your phone shows off your captures and allows for easy sharing. Yea extra steps to “put on PC” but honestly who puts them on PC? All my photos are saved into a cloud.

I save my videos to PC when I'm doing editing some highlights videos.
That said all your cloud captures are easily accessible on a PC so I don't see what the issue is.
I had no idea that the series X just overwrites old captures if it gets too full. It didn't used to be like that. I'm sure a bunch of my captures that I haven't gotten around to moving are gone now lol
