I found a discarded pair of the previous model ATH-M50 in a snowbank at the dump. At first, I thought that they couldn’t be genuine and were knock-offs because of non-detachable cable. Apparently, the model M50 doesn’t have the detachable cable of the M50x model and these are the real deal.

Replaced the earpads and they work well with a iPod found at the dump. I replaced the iPod hard drive with an SD card. Now, I have a new way of ignoring traffic and getting run down by automated vehicles.
