Hey I just installed lineage with microg a couple days ago but I forgot to check the keys before installing. Now the signature spoofing in microg options is not checked. Is it related to not checking the keys or is it something else?

Hi, what do you mean by checking the keys? If you mean checking the downloaded file signature (sha256sum) to make sure of its integrity, this is a different issue.

Anyway the recent signature spoofing problem is explained here by microg author: > Google seemingly has updated their signature checking code. [...] This means that all signature spoofing patches need to be updated.

And another comment from the same thread summarizes the minimum versions of various ROMs with the fix included. > LineageOS for microG (fix auto-included from upstream) - All builds from 2024/12/17 onwards contain the fix

Hey coming back to tell I installed the 01/04/2025 build and it just worked line a charm. Thanks so much for the help!

Yeah I thought maybe it had something related to checking the sha singing keys.. thank you for the links and explanation! I'm gonna read it all and see if I need to install a new build since I installed a build from November. Thanks

Doesn't the real LineageOS support spoofing for MicroG now making the old version completely redundant? Real LineageOS has more frequent builds too...

O don't know.. I'm a noobie on this. Last time I had installed a custom ROM it was called cyanogenmod. I'll look for this.thanks

it's a real pain to switch. if you already set everything up, might as well keep using it.
