Random fact re: Dr Pepper, there is no period/dot after the "Dr" in the logo and to my knowledge there never has been. Same with Mr Pibb. (Yes, I first learned this fact from 8 Bit Theater. Don't try to tell me some of you didn't, either.)
Look at how many of those clones follow the same convention. Seven of them, by my count. Somebody noticed.
I hereby further submit to you that "Dr" Pepper is in fact not a real doctor. Either that, or he's British. No middle ground.
