To be clear, the 3 seasons of the animated series "avatar: the last airbender".
There are unrelated blue people movies, live action remakes, and a sequel series ("legend of korra"), but when people recommend avatar (as they should - it's fantastic) they mean the original cartoon version.
I honestly had to stop watching the Netflix adaptation after 2 or 3 episodes. It was just so bad. Constant exposition just telling us shit…often stuff that they show had already done an ok job of showing us anyway.
I felt like the trailer didn't look too bad, but in the very best case, the live action show can only be nearly as good as the cartoon show, so I didn't give it a try.

Some ppl do recommend the blue ppl movies. No one recommends the live action remake because it does not exist.
