Amber Richards, described years of manipulation and sexual abuse that began when she was 14.
Testifying during the trial, she recounted waking up to find Richards beside her bed and enduring repeated assaults while pretending to be asleep.
The abuse, she said, escalated after he sent her a message about taking their relationship “to the next level.”

You’d think that being a “man of god” would bring a heavier sentence.
There should be a hypocrite addendum. It's 10-20 years, plus 30% for being a hypocrite.
God is a very useful shield for terrible people. They act any way they want, and their religion helps excuse/forgive the behavior. You can see its utility in things like rape, and genocide in today’s world.
If it was not God, it would be something else, like afluenza. This is because you don't wait for courts to do justice, you bring justice yourself.
