I'm so glad they're ditching the curved display.

I hope Google manages to improve the battery life. My P4XL squeaks in with less than 10% at the end of most days.

Totally. I've got Pixel 6 and the battery live with 5G in use is pretty awful. Time to focus on that.

Do they exist? I've seen posts from people saying they don't mind curved screens, but someone who has used it for a while and prefers them to flat screens?

I don't mind them at all when it comes to functionality. In fact, I find it easier to do the swipe to open sidebars and stuff.

However, screen protectors are super expensive and require UV glue to adhere them. They are such a pain in the ass to apply, and you think thrice about replacing them due to scratches because of how expensive they are.

Flat screen phones have a pack of 3 for $15, and they take 60 seconds to apply. When they get slightly scratched, it's easy to spend $5 for a new one. Whereas the curved ones are $15+ each.

My 7 pro is rocking no screen protector because of how annoying and shitty it was for me to put them on my 6 pro.

Ugh. I hadn't even considered screen protectors. That UV glue thing sounds like a pain.

Bring on the flat screens!

No less than $899 for the Pro I wouldn't be shocked if it went up to $949 or $999.

That's about 500$ more than I would justify spending for a phone

Surely this is not your first time seeing the price for a Pixel phone. That's what they've been selling for for years now

That's the Pixel A series which is the budget series of the Pixels.

The Pixel series was always at least 599$

Very stoked for the Pixel 8 with 120Hz refresh rate. Hopefully there'll be a good trade in deal for my 7.
