This makes me wonder how if the cartels and the Mexican military actually coordinated, and how that force would compare to Ukraine's. Mexico does have the 10th largest population in the world, while Ukraine is 44th.

Honestly, I think invading Mexico would be harder than it sounds.

That being said, the main difference between the US and Russia is that there’s no way the US would fail to gain air superiority.

It'd basically be impossible to occupy even with a large draft/mobilization. Mexico is 3x the size and population of Ukraine and the terrain varies between mountain jungles and desert plains.

America wouldn't have an issue handling their military, but a counter insurgency war would be unwinnable.

Exactly, the occupation would be completely unviable.

We achieve Air Superiority and then use that to build a McDonalds and a Starbucks on every street corner. It's a perfect plan!

They would become immensely popular in the towns.

Government, population, and internationally backed cartels, armed to the teeth, already operating all in the US... It would make our wars in the middle east look like a walk in the park. Maybe even Vietnam.

And the justification... Mexico is drifting closer to Russia, except Russia actually shares a border with Mexico and we already tried invading them once.

Also Mexico is tyrannical (glares at US) and corrupt (glares at US).

Also, Israel (our global pariah from across the world, like NK) joins the war... Is that taking the joke too far?
