Ya know...as a cigarette smoker, I hope they don't listen to you and they just ban the damn things. Just ban then. Sure, makes no sense. Personally, Idgaf because one is way worse then the other.

As a smoker who feels stuck smoking...no. the carpet should be pulled out from people, deal with the fallout for 2-3 weeks while the addiction takes its course then let the healing happen.

It just seems like it's antithetical to all the reasons we made weed legal. People are going to do it anyways, might as well make it regulated and collect tax on it. I don't smoke tobacco but I just think making it illegal won't change anything. Let people make their own decisions, you know?

The war on drugs was never about drugs, in this case I'm optimistic that well meaning people probably think this is how you stop a health hazard for upcoming generations. There's a world where it works but I'm with you I don't think it's this one.
