What is this red stripe inside a headphone?
Headphones felt hot to the touch and these stripes appeared on both headphones. Checked the battery and it seemed fine, not swollen. Still functioning.

It looks to me like the wire connecting the high frequency driver, but it wouldn’t make sense for that to appear suddenly. Are you sure you didn’t just not notice it before?
Yeah, the membrane is actually clear so the wire under it connecting the coil to the rest of the device is visible. Really easy to not notice until OP thinks something is wrong and looks closely.
