Six Flags Great Adventure retiring 2 coasters, including Kingda Ka; announces pair of new coasters

I don’t think this is too surprising, but I am upset that the park didn’t provide any notice on a final operating day for the tallest roller coaster in the world. I finally got to visit Great Adventure for the first time this year and was able to ride it, but I would have tried to squeeze in one more visit if I knew. It’s confirmed that this is a removal and a completely new cosster rather than a re-imagining, so let the rumor mills begin!

If five rides are going down to make this, it needs to be something really groundbreaking. I'm hoping the mention of a launch means it isn't a B&M giga like was rumored, Nitro-but-bigger wouldn't add much to the park.

I know it'll never happen, but I'd love to see something dueling. The park has had three different dueling rides but only one consistently did.

Then, in 2026, the park said it will open "an all-new, multi-record-breaking launch coaster." It has not yet been named.

Top Thrill 2 spike coming for Kingda Ka then.

I don't like the new Six Flags... Cedar Fair just seems to have used the Six Flags name as a mustache to twirl.
