He lived a long and epic life.
Aww. I was just listening to one of his albums the other day.
Thanks for all the music, Q. So much music.
And here, in my opinion, is his best work. The Streetbeater (aka the theme from Sanford and Son). It's in regular listening rotation for me.

Q was also one hell of a trumpeter back when he played with Hampton.

He had such a way with music. I saw the "we are the world" documentary and it was amazing to be a fly on the wall and watch him work with all those musicians
"Ladies and gentlemen Mr. Quincy Jones! This where the movie gets its mojo, baby!"
Good. Let's stop jesus-ifying idiots who make it in show business.
The "idiots" made it in show business because of Quincy Jones.
Ignorance doesn't need a reason, only an opportunity
The man was a master artist.
Uh oh, looks like we've got an edgelord over here.
Yet you still took the time to post about it
Well you should. He wrote and produced some of the most recognizable music of the 20th century.
You definitely know things Quincy Jones has worked on. Even if you don't recognize their names. But you will probably recognize their names.

And if the ones on that very partial list don't ring a bell, there's Soul Bossa Nova, written in 1962.
Even if you haven't seen Austin Powers, you've probably heard that music before.
