Lemmios is now on the App Store
Lemmios is an iOS native Lemmy app with design language heavily inspired by Apollo.
Why Lemmios?
So it's a Lemmy app, there's no need to talk about viewing posts or comments or compact mode or other basic things, but Lemmios does have some features that other apps don't have!
Rich notification system including watchers
Lemmios will give push notifications for replies and private messages, allowing you to leave the app while still remaining up to date! It also has watchers to notify you of new posts matching specific criteria so you never miss a post!
Widgets
Want to see how your last post did? Want to see posts from around Lemmy on your home screen? Lemmios has widgets for both of those!
Other features
Search directly from the top of the posts view just like in Apollo, usage without an account, and in-app account registration and deletion to name a few!

Getting “Incorrect Login” even though I’ve entered valid credentials for lemmy.ml. What’s up with that?
I was getting the same until I changed the user from my email to my screen name. Works great now.
I started with my screen name, since that’s what everything else uses by default. The field says “username” or something, not email, so I assume that’s correct.
Interesting, did you make sure to press “select” after you selected lemmy.ml on the login screen?

Hmm... registration is closed on that server so I cannot attempt to reproduce here, would you mind going to settings -> About -> Get Logs and email those to [email protected]?

The TestFlight version is crashing an awful lot today. Is the alpha release better?
Yes, it should be much more stable, may I also ask when the testflight version is crashing for you? I am seeing very low crash numbers for the latest versions
This one. I’ve sent multiple crash reports today, some with additional info, some without. I also provided feedback that the text size on comment replies is teeny tiny since you added the ability to add photos to comments. I believe I sent feedback from my alt account, SomeoneElse if that helps.
Yes, the font size has been fixed and is just waiting for approval from apple
I just downloaded the alpha version, replied to a comment and the app immediately crashed like it has been doing all day on the beta version 😔 maybe it’s me?!
It's still crashing on the app store version? That's very interesting, apple is telling me the app store version has not crashed yet, just to verify this crash occurs when submitting a comment?
Yup, literally the first thing I tried to do on the App Store version. I didn’t get a “looks like Lemmios crashed…” message this time so I couldn’t send feedback. Also the screen kinda jumps sometimes when reading a long thread. You’ll be in the middle of reading comments (not sorted by new) and suddenly the text disappears (but the app doesn’t crash) and you have to reload it. That was happening on the beta earlier but you can’t really screenshot it so I didn’t report it. I think I sent 5-10 crash reports today alone. I have a new iPhone with the latest software so I’m not really sure what’s going on. Tbch I’d pretty much made Lemmios my primary app but it’s been so buggy today I had to go back to Memmy.
EDIT: it did the screen thing as soon as I posted that reply. I was reading it back when suddenly it disappeared
I always hate suggesting the basic troubleshooting options, but have you tried signing out, uninstalling, and then reinstalling?
I deleted the beta and re-download it from the App Store before, but I’ve just logged out, deleted, reinstalled and logged in again. I’ll let you know in about an hour if I see any improvement!

Oh thats so funny! I didn't even realize the iOS in the name, its meant to be based on Helios but hey now I can claim it was all on purpose
Yeah, but hopefully iOS 15 will be coming soon, the migration is slow but ongoing!
Not available in my country. Is it US only for the moment?
I sent out the post just as the app released so Apple still says they're working on getting it distributed, I have it enabled for all App Store regions so check back soon!
