Self-hosting my own federated podcast called Linux Prepper
I've setup my own federated podcast through Castopod, but unsure of how to federate it with Lemmy directly. It'll be project-focused around FOSS tooling and just enjoying life.
Any suggestions on better integrating it with Lemmy? Thanks all.

I love that you’re tricking preppers into just enjoying life.
Oh, just wait. More about this to discuss in next episodes. Ahahahahaha :)
0 out of 5 stars. Came here to find how to get rid of sewer gases backing up into my bunker and all I got was something about "window managers."
WHO PUTS WINDOWS IN BUNKERS?
Just wait until you find out about the shhit tunnels
Not sure, but when you find out, post here. I'll join!
I tried, but it tells me to provide a handle, which I don't have on podcast.james.network. Maybe I misunderstood?
Ah, if you want to interact with the podcast it is treated as a fediverse actor. The "Follow" button is listed on the site or click https://podcast.james.network/@linuxprepper/follow
I can follow it from MBin (by following @[email protected]), but the link doesn't work for me for some reason
Sorry, what link doesn't work? 👀
This one - https://podcast.james.network/@linuxprepper/follow
It says "Seems like the account server does not allow remote follows…", hmmm
The handle on the fediverse is @[email protected]
Right, but what would me my handle? My Lemmy handle?
Edit: I downloaded FeedFlow just to add the rss lol.
According to your profile: @[email protected]
So it works with Lemmy handles? Sweet! I'm trying now.
Edit: Doesn't work. "Could not fetch". That's ok, I'll use the rss for now : )
Definitely let me know if it doesn't. Thanks.
I added it as an edit to the original. It didn't work. “Could not fetch” was the error. That's fine. I am using the rss anyway : )
What could you not fetch?
A bit off-topic, but what is that platform you're using?
Not off-topic at all. Platform is called Castopod. Thanks for asking.
