I have The Wheels of Chance, I bought it when I was a kid. Saw H. G. Wells and bought it, and it wasn't sci-fi, you just put it away. Had forgotten about it, but your comment reminded me of that. Will give it another go.
I came across it some years ago, and am an avid cyclist. I appreciate good writing, and H.G. Wells is a true sculptor of the English language. Enjoy.
