[Feature Request] Ability to swipe to close an image opened from a post

I love this app so far, but one thing I really miss from using Apollo is how much could be done by simple gestures.

Can you please add the ability to close post images with a swipe gesture?

I find I have to tap on an image once or twice to make the “X” appear, so I close it (after I have habitually tried to swipe it to close a few times)

This works for me. I can swipe the image down to close it. You might have to give it a bit more force than Apollo needed but it does work.

Were you swiping in a different direction?

I was swiping vertically. But as ArbitraryMary said, I think I just have to swipe a bit more forcefully.

It works if I swipe from the top of the screen, down to nearly the bottom. I think I was doing more of a flick from the centre of the image.

What device are you using?

iPhone 12 Pro - iOS 16.5.1 (c)

I've just downloaded v0.1 2023.7.22.2.35.

I'm now not sure what version i was on previously, but the swipe action is as smooth as silk for me now!

There was a memory leak in previous builds that I fixed yesterday so it’s possible that the app had ran out of memory causing stuttering.
