Hope the lemmy devs find a way to import and export communities to other instances. Would make these transitions easier.

I think a feature like this plus the ability to make backups of communities is vital for the survival and health of lemmy and the fediverse

lemmy.world

Glad to see you guys off lemmy.ml, I avoid that instance in general because of the admins' "the Uyghur genocide is western propaganda" views that they enforce with "orientalism" bans. Happy to sub now that you're over here.

This is perfect timing for me, actually. I've been maining Xbox for a while, but all the changes they just made to their subscriptions blow hard enough that I'm most likely going back to my PlayStation and getting PS+ Extra.

Glad to have you with us, and I'm happy to embark on this new chapter.

I'll probably be too tired from setting up this whole migration today to actually post any news. But just know that I value community feedback, so please always express yourself, no matter what it is.

For some reason I am unable to make any posts or responses here from my regular instance (trying from Kbin now), which is unfortunate, but hopefully I can at least lurk!

What is your regular instance? Perhaps your home instance hasn't "pulled" in this community yet. Try pasting the entire url into the community search and it should come up (you might have to do it twice). https://lemmy.world/c/ps5

Does this link work for you? https://reddthat.com/c/[email protected]

Sorry, I searched your username to find your other account.

No problem at all! I'm already subscribed on my instance (reddthat), but for some reason it just doesn't work...

Edit: and now it does - weird... This is my main account by the way. I didn't change anythig. Seems replies work, but not new posts. Weird...

ok cool, let me know! It might have just been a federation quirk. I do have the old community locked right now, so make sure you are posting to the correct one

Will do! Contacted support of my instance to try and check whether it's an issue with us or with lemmy.world 👍

I didn't have to do anything. It looks like when lemmy.world issues resolved this morning all the pending actions happened at once. I saw this with comments in posts also, so I think it worked with your departure as well. Thanks again for helping with the transition! Much appreciated!
