Getting the vowels right helped a lot on this one.
Slow progress. In Germany we would say "Mühsam ernährt sich das Eichhörnchen"
I know a bit of German, but had to run that through a translator. Fitting saying considering your moniker. 🐿️
In Swedish it would probably be "trägen vinner". I personally prefer "det är aldrig för sent att ge upp". 🫠
If my translator is correct, that's a beautiful saying :)
Es ist niemals zu spät auszugeben? Studied German in school in the 80s, but have almost never used it in anger. Been in Germany a number of times, but people switch to English when I try because their English is usually waaaay better than my German. Did not run the above through a translator so I would be shocked if my translation above is anywhere near accurate.
