Can confirm. The only time my cat got a bath was when she climbed into the fireplace and got soot all over her paws. We didn't want her licking it off, so my wife gave her a bath. Idiot tried going straight for the fireplace again, so we had to block it off until we got a new cover for it that was cat resistant.
Does she wear a bell? They cause stress for cats.
