Yeah, but imagine someone with trump like appeal, but competent? The only saving grace of the trump presidency is that he was such an utter buffoon that he wasn't able to break as many things as someone who had anything resembling a game plan.
Hopefully, he has demonstrated that the US can't rely on people's good faith to respect the insitution of the presidency, and more checks and balances are put into place.
