Not for another hour ๐Ÿ˜ญ but I have got Mirely up to level 10, and defeated the boss for the Fetid Coast quest. Now I have one to do with White flame Golems and one for Depth Level 4!

I bought the butterfly knight, but I haven't played them yet. Had to buy the one that repped my NB status haha! Ended up with all the skins for Mirely because she's level 10 and deserves it lol

Thank you for getting me into this game, it's such a blast!!! ๐Ÿ’œ You're a gem, Gibs!

2
aussie.zone

Holy shit you beat the boss?!?!?

Fuck yeah!!!!

I've been using the paladin but I'm switching to Mirely if I can beat the boss and get to depth level 4.

I just love how different every character plays like. Adds so much complexity to the game!

2
aussie.zone

It is complex! I'm playing the bladerfly and he plays so differently from Mirely.

With Mirely it feels like cheating, build an evasion build with her, and you can just dodge everything. You can eventually level her up so she has a chance to dodge statuses when hidden. It's insane. Give her an angry spirit or two and yeah, she can steamroll.

The game defo gets harder, but all the more interesting. I'm very excited to try all the heroes, the complexity of the game is hidden behind it's cartoon, adventure quest-esque charm. Cannot thank you enough, owe you your favourite drink, friend!

2

Thanks for the heads up about Mirely! Absolute beast! I saved up and now I have 4 camping things so I reckon I can finally beat depth level 3!

The character with the different stances is hard to get your head around.

Going to try the bladed butterfly as well.

Such a great game which is basically free!

Thanks for sharing this. Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing the finished product. (If you wouldnโ€™t mind sharing) The stain will definitely make most fabric colours pop.

I used this colour on a small flip top student desk to great effect . I tried applying a gold leaf scrimshaw design around the edges and failed miserably haha. So had to keep it simple with just the stain.

I love them all - I'm always amazed seeing people who are the best in the world at what they do, doing their thing.

The biggest change in our house is the kids have taken up hockey in the past four years. So, hockey (a sport I've been mildly interested in at most) is going to be a huge deal. I think Perth might be the HQ for hockey in Australia. The kids met and had photos playing and hanging out with the Hockeyroos - who visited our club.

My wife and I spent an hour trying to justify buying a TV for shits and giggles.

We came up with a massive list of arguments. A large handful of strong against, and 1 weak support.

We had a landlord-provided TV in the old apartment. We both lived there for 2 years, the TV used for probably an hour in total.

It's not the screen. It's your eyes focused on one thing constantly. You need to give them a break every 45 minutes or so. Even something as simple as looking at something distant for a minute every hour will help a great deal.

aussie.zone

I just dreamt about the end of the world. It was really cinematic and had a cast of characters, none of them me but at times I was each of the characters. It had a series of time jumps and stories playing out about their lives before the finale which was in the future where there were millions of satellites in the night's sky. They were all different colours and shapes and clusters and zipped by closer than felt comfortable. Then they'd found a way to project a reflection of the earth in the sky so you could see all of the countries, and did a presentation on them which felt like a "thank you for your time here on earth, humans" where they showcased humanity over the years from every walk of life. It was all very impressive but it also felt very โ€œbig corporationโ€ which felt fitting for where weโ€™re headed.

Then during a random moment of conversation with one of the aged characters, one of the only remaining original ones who hadn't died off, the waves came. The first was large enough to know it was about to be the end. Then right after it the character was floating and could see the second world ender coming, gasped and then lights out and I woke up.

I haven't even talked about the story of her life or her late husband's life which was its own thing. There was sadness, redemption, fame, failure, regret and wrestling. And randomly, a pool of hippos which was under their huge warehouse where they lived. You could get to it from under their bed. Weird.

Anyway I just kinda wanted to journal this because it was kind of epic. It even had side characters who felt like they had their own journies over the time jumps, or had their own troubles which were suddenly gone and seemed trivial but also not trivial at the time, but were just the past after the time jumps and those characters had passed.

8

Oh wow... I wonder if you can expand this into a bigger piece of creative writing?

4

Dude, this sounds like one of my epic dreams with full on back stories for all the characters and detailed plot developments. I'd read the expanded version. And watch the movie adaptation

I'm so over being at home. I seem to be done with the night sweats and headaches and sore throat; the cough is now mostly at night and after eating food. Yesterday I hardly coughed until right after dinner when it turned into a couple hours of feeling like I had little flecks of liquid constantly entering my windpipe, resulting in increasingly chesty yet mostly dry coughs. I think it's laryngopharyngneal reflux, took a PPI last night and one this nothing and not coughing nearly as much tonight.

If I stay on the PPIs for several days hopefully that'll be it. I desperately need to go out for some chores this weekend and to break the cabin fever. And I really DO NOT want to keep working from home next week

this box is truly proving a meat filled pumpkin rolled into my enclosure.

pfsense is a no go as this little bastard runs a celeron, but I may still possibly use it as the mesh router for openwrt....if I could get it to recognise any of the boot disks....

3
mysticgregreply
aussie.zone

Haven't kept up if you've made earlier posts on this... but pfsense won't run on a celeron? Is that because of the BSD-ness of it all? TIL.

I'm running it on a total overkill 6th-gen i5 but thought the requirements were pretty lightweight. Depends on what you need to do with it I guess! I've also got the thing doing DNS, DHCP, ntopng and incoming VPN and the thing still sits at basically idle.

Are the requirements any lighter for opnsense? Still BSD though I guess, if that's the issue. It's been years since I've looked at this stuff, I had lots of stability issues on opnsense but it may have improved now.

I -have- found that yelling at it, followed by some percussive maintenance, sometimes helps.

2
Taleyareply
aussie.zone

I have an old Qualys Sensor Appliance II. Was gonna turn it into a pfsense firewall, but it's reporting the CPU doesn't support long mode (no 64bit architecture) which is why it's out. OpenWRT has continued with 32bit support for longer, kinda its deal, so I'm thinking the box could become the core router for the openwrt mesh I'm building from scavenged tech. All their "boot disks" however are not booting. booo. booo.

2
mysticgregreply
aussie.zone

AHH ok. Balls to the no 64-bit support. That would be a nice little piece of kit to sit out of sight and handle this stuff.

My only OpenWRT experience was flashing it onto a Netgear wireless router once upon a time, and as I recall even that was a PITA. Good luck!!!

1

oh this is a fun one (I'm trying lunbuntu on this for starters, then openwrt on top but may tweak it with an even smaller OS or just slack) - has to be a custom build. CPU doesn't support 64 bit architecture but it has SATA...and a 3gb IDE hdd??

1
