Can / How can I move my Lemmy.world posts & info across to Kbin?

Thank you for all your feedback on my @SamXavia account in my previous post about why you prefer Kbin, it really opened up my mind on why Kbin might be the better option.

Since I posted it I've learned a bit more about Kbin but would love to keep the previous content that I posted on Lemmy.world, Am I able to do this, and if I can how?

AFAIK, there's no way to transfer data across servers. Limitaton of the current ActivityPub protocol.

But hopefully there's a tool to transfer subscriptions.

@hariette Thank you, I will hopefully get to see that happen in the future, Guess I'll just start from step 1 again.

As far as I know the best you can do is making a microblog that directs your followers to your new account and maybe changing your name to SamXavia[old] or SamXavia[moved] but there's no built in account moving system yet.

@melroy Yeah I really do hope that in the future we will have a better way to transfer our data across instances as it would be a welcome change for people wanting to switch or if an instance is shutting down and users have to move about in the #Fediverse. It just allows people to control there data that little bit more and not loose things when something 'better' comes along.
