can I post mineral collection here?
I can remove this post if it is inappropriate.
I have a collection of rocks and minerals. It's not the bestest as most are small specimens, but at last my collection could finally serve a greater purpose. Maybe I could get help identifying some in the process.
It's just all these pictures look so professional, I don't want to misconstrue the purpose of this community.

I would LOVE to see your collecion!
I post a lot here because I want the community to have content so it stays alive. The reason those minerals look professionally photographed is because they are professionally photographed! I look through collections online and save what I think looks good to share with everyone here. Even more, I have only uploaded the very best images I've found.
If I had known that posting them would have the effect of discouraging others, I never would have done that, so please post your images.
I recommend maybe one post where you can see the whole collection at once, for scale, and after that a closer pic of each one you want to show us. The big pic would be a teaser of things to come. 👍
In the next few days I will post some of my collection that I photograph myself so you can see the difference between what I have at home and what I found online.

And also, no! Don't feel bad about posting those, They're gorgeous. I didn't even know some of those existed. They should be showcased.
Anyways, I'll have to dig them out from the attic 😬 but I'll definitely get it started and start posting in the next few days.
