Seems to me that the kid and the person in red are worse off with justice than equality. The kid now has a somewhat obstructed view and the one in red now has the fence at neck level rather than shoulder level.

He's not, but it didn't cost any additional resources to make him that well off

And the improvement to his situation was done in a "fairer" way. (From the perspective of everybody except assholes who like putting up fences to deliberately exclude people, of course.)
