Nail guns might be cheaper upfront but the constant cost of the nails will kill your wallet in the long run. A simple axe is the real cost leader.
Maybe the gun itself is, but I doubt it is with a compressor, especially one you can carry on your back. Plus, they're loud as fuck. Everyone would hear you coming.

Yeah, I used a couple different ones to build a couple restaurants. Sounds exactly like a gun, maybe a little quieter. Grab ear protection.
I've got an axe which is a family heirloom. It's been handed down to me from my dad, who got it from his dad. Three generations.
