Ok so I have to ask
I broadly speaking understand what breadtube is, and I've followed a fair few youtube channels that were part of it. But I've never understood why it's called "bread"tube. Does anyone know where that name comes from?

The Wikipedia entry for BreadTube has an origin section. Long story short, it's named for the book The Conquest of Bread.
Yep this pretty much. Honestly I think it's a great name as it is immediately familiar, broadly appreciated, and symbolic of the general goal of the humanistic left to have eveyone fed.
