Randomly switching to light theme.
I just got blinded twice in the pitch black darkness of my bedroom because Memmy randomly decided it's time for 2 seconds of light theme. Seems to be triggered by switching between Apps.

Reinforcing your experience. Same just happened to me minutes before I came across your post.
You may be on to something. I switched off: Settings/Appearance/Themes/“Match System Light/Dark Theme“. Fingers crossed!
I noticed this. I think it has to do with the update to RN 0.72. Let me see if I can resolve it.
Just had the opposite, light to dark (system is light)
What is iOS set to? Light or dark
