Monster puffball I stumbled across several years ago
2.8# of fungi! (Was a puffball- No gills or stem, though it was misleadingly shaped. Will share a pic of the inside!)

Forbidden muffin
Those things as so tasty. Looks like it could make loads of mushroom steaks. Butter and garlic make all the difference
Thankfully some smaller and not-so-ripe puffballs came up too! I managed to snaffle one. I haven't seen any for several years now, though. It's devastating.
It looks pink on the inside, is that unusual for puffballs?
I think this bad boy was REALLY ripe and nearly ready to blow. I probably should have let it. Maybe I would still be finding puffballs!
