Is a NSFW tag inappropriate for open surgery?
Maybe? Tagged for now, but open surgery is not porn, violence or selfharm, so maybe it souldn't be. I'll check what counts as nasfoo.
I checked rules of lemm.ee, lemmy.ml, lemmy.world and mander.xyz.
.ee and .ml call only porn as nsfw, .world calls porn and violence as nsfw and mander doesn't seem to have any rules about nsfw at all. Untagging.

It’s not inappropriate to mark it NSFW so the content is blurred for people who don’t want to see blood and viscera on their feed. It may not be violent but it is gore. It may not be a community rule but it would be courteous.
