Especially when the platform is being improved to handle some meaningful load/traffic right now and is clearly needing further development - he's got time. We are already week 4 of a 3-6 week estimate, and he's teasing us with some very nice screenshots already.
Reddit gave very short notice of the API changes, and they then carried them out. Ultimate subscribers leaving in droves, sadly. Even with the choice he was just making about usernames, it's clear to me that he's been putting a lot of attention to detail in the first appearance of Sync for Lemmy.
Everything is important when it comes to being a class leader, there is nothing more important than setting the example that others follow or copy. When other developers come into your Lemmy community and try to snipe users so blatently as what has happened - is it any wonder he's wanting perfection!

I hope there's an option to see the upvotes as well as downvotes rather than just the total. That's one thing I've liked about Jerboa so far that other apps aren't doing.
I need dark mode, serif fonts, and very very large text. I'm not the only one. If you're able to pass that on and I see it done, I'm there. If not I'll have to wait for an app that does this.
Changing the max value of a slider is pretty trivial from a programming standpoint, so if the current max isn't enough for you when the first release is available, I'd say it's definitely worth sending some feedback.

Can't wait. No doubt usage and contributions will increase with improved interface.
For example, I usually use Connect because it lets me hide read posts. But it doesn't auto populate/suggest communities when posting, which makes it much more of a pain to share things.

Agreed. But I have been enjoying trying out some different Lemmy apps. Liftoff is pretty good! But there's nothing yet that sway me from Sync.

I'm on KBin via Firefox with UBlock Origin and it kills my battery. Sync used like half as much battery, I can't wait to get back into it.

Sync for Reddit had an insane number of options for theming and font customization. I'm pretty sure Sync for Lemmy is the same frontend.
