If you haven’t read the Children of Time series, I HIGHLY recommend it.
Seconded. I finished Children of Memory a month ago or so. Cried like a baby.
Adrian Tchaikovsky is a brilliant writer, the Children of Time series is my favourite of his. It's almost 4 in the morning so I can't brain well enough to put it into words. Just the deftness with which he explores different concepts, while at the same time having fantastic characterisation, and a gripping storyline is really impressive.
He's also very much not a case of MenWritingWomen, there are no ladies breasting boobily down staircases in his books.
