Isn’t it very difficult to convert to Judaism other than by marrying into the faith (something that is forbidden for Arabs in Israel)?
I’ve known two converts to Judaism actually (obligatory doofenschmirtz), but yeah pain in the ass but not impossible. It’s common for converts to wind up rabbis because they really care about being jewish
