Loved the comment, but then I saw your username. This made me unreasonably happy. Thank you for that haha

Does anyone like Tasha all that much?

She slept with Data and had a sister who had a much harder life than she did... then she died.

What's interesting to me is that Marina Sirtis was originally cast as Tasha and Denise Crosby originally cast as Troi, but their roles were swapped. I'd love to have seen that version of TNG.

It would've been so weird to see Marina Sirtis playing a badass security officer. I'm probably biased from only seeing her as Troi though.

I don't know of anything else she's been in that she's played it tough, but I doubt they would have cast her that way if they didn't initially seen something of that in her. She certainly has the presence for the role if her outgoing personality at conventions is any indication.

Good point! She also played it tough in voice roles in Gargoyles, now that I think of it.

Yeah, seems like the Enterprise crew are the only people liking Tasha.

I think young me had a crush on both her and Data when I first watched TNG. I guess I was really into yellow?

More into stone-faced people who didn't show emotions at all and were immune to social cues?

Considering I have been called "overly stoic", "unsentimental", and "unemotional" by romantic partners, and my therapist tells me it isn't healthy to bottle up my emotions, I may just have seen myself somewhere in there.

I am always grateful that I forget spoilers, before I am willing to spend time watching something or playing a game. It's my secret superpower.

Holy Forking Shirtballs. Do you guys think Tasha went to the Good Place? We all know Romulan Tasha went to the Bad Place for sure.

Depends on if they'd completed the reform of the afterlife by the 24th century on Earth

If you can make it through the one-two punch of the horny episode and the racist episode, I think you'll be fine

What happened has set the grounds for not just one but two really cool twists later in the series. (And some interesting behind the scenes facts and rumours) 😉

I’ve seen a ton of Star Trek and I love it I just don’t have encyclopedic knowledge of each series

Since no one answered you, that black ooze shaped like a man is called Armus. He is the alien who kills the original security officer Tasha Yar in the first season.

Hey, that's fine. It's a wide spanning series with a lot of ins and outs and what have you. Don't be discouraged for asking.

edit: Thanks for clarifying, teft.
