This camera has a "bird detection mode" that spots them and gets the focus right on their eye! It's amazing. It makes it possible to catch them on the wing.

It also has a "pro shooting" mode that captures in to a buffer as long as you half hold the shutter down, and then dumps the buffer to the card when you do a full press. Which means that you can use it to capture moments that require exact timing!
