I remember the first time I tried making a website the path I used for all my assets were my local folder locations. It never occurred to me that nobody else could see what I had on my C drive.

Better this than not having some kind of restriction so everyone can see your entire C drive

Don't worry. I work in a bank. We employ very expensive IT consultants. After the initial PPT that sold the project to our management, all they do is Word documents ("concepts"), mostly copy paste from other documentation. And all the links are file://C:/User/Joe/Temp/MuFiles/...

Jimmy clearly ripped off my website. His website even has my name in the contact information at the bottom! The gall of some people...
